Circleville Presbyterian Church is asking the community to be part of the third Community Coat and Pajama Drive to benefit children of the county in grades Pre-K-12. Families eligible to participate in PICCA’s Toys for Tots are eligible to receive coats and pajamas for their children.
The drive began in 2016 after the Clothing Center closed and coats were no longer available to those students needing them. Yet the need was still there. The inclusion of pajamas was a suggestion of Amy Robinson of PICCA, through her position as Community Services Director she was aware of this additional need. Last year Tim Wilson, Director of the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau, offered their building as a drop off site. The participation by members of other churches and other individuals in the community also help insure the success of this drive. With the help of these supporters and of these two agencies, the drive is truly a community effort.
New coats and pajamas may be taken to the Pickaway County Visitors Center at 325 W. Main Street from 9-4, Monday through Friday until November 30th. Or they can be taken to Circleville Presbyterian, 134 E. Mound Street, on Saturday, December 1st from 9:30-11:00am. Turn into the parking lot on the south side of the building and go to the glass doors that face Brown Memorial. All donated items will be taken to PICCA on December 3rd for distribution.
Anyone wishing to make a cash donation should send it to PICCA at 469 E. Ohio and note on
the memo line that your gift is for Coats and Pjs.
Please help keep our community’s children warm.
