POWELL, OH – The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is set to host its annual spring celebration, Eggs, Paws and Claws, presented by Kroger, on Friday, April 18th, and Saturday, April 19th, 2025. The event, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, promises a festive lineup of activities for visitors of all ages.
Eggs, Paws and Claws is included with regular zoo admission or membership, with discount tickets also available at local Kroger stores.
Highlights of the event include:
- Photos with the Easter Bunny: Guests can capture memorable moments with the Easter Bunny at the Lakeside Pavilion from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Advanced reservations are recommended, but a stand-by line will also be available. Photo purchases are not required, and personal device photography is encouraged.
- Egg Ambassador Meet and Greets: Visitors can meet the zoo’s special hosts, Eggbert, Shelley, Yolko, and Oh-No, at the Lakeside Pavilion throughout the day.
- Character Ambassador Meet and Greets: Favorite zoo character ambassadors will be available for meet and greets near the Lakeside Pavilion.
- Eggbert and Shelley’s Rolling Shell-ebration: Eggbert, Shelley, Yolko, and Oh-No will spread springtime cheer by riding through the zoo on the Character Express train, accompanied by lively music and smiles (weather permitting).
- Eggs-plore and Find: A unique twist on the traditional egg hunt will take place in the Adventure Cove region and around Conservation Lake. Ten zoo character ambassadors have hidden decorated eggs, and guests can pick up an activity map at the zoo’s entrance to participate. Those who find all the eggs will receive a prize (while supplies last) at a tent near the Jr. Zookeeper gift shop.
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium invites everyone to join in the springtime celebration and enjoy the various activities and animal encounters.
