COMMERCIAL POINT
Today, the mayor of Commercial Point, Gary Joiner, was led away by Commercial Point police involving illegal dumping and intimidation.
The arrest stems from an employee complaint involving the mayor dumping garbage at a construction site at Rosewood Loop. The employee allegedly questioned the mayor, who then threatened the employee with putting the Westford Homes’ project on hold.
The employee filed a report verbally with Commercial Point police, then four days later, lodged an official complaint after talking to his employer.
