Circleville, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents across the city on July 16, 2024, highlighting their proactive efforts in maintaining community safety and addressing citizen concerns.

The day began with reports of a suspected drunk driver on Morris Rd at 12:03 AM. However, upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 12:58 AM, a traffic stop on N Court Street resulted in a citation being issued, followed by an extra patrol check that yielded no issues at 2:14 AM on the same street.

One of the more serious incidents occurred at 2:16 AM on Mowrer Rd, where officers responded to reports of an unruly juvenile making suicide threats. The squad transported the juvenile to a hospital for further evaluation and care.

Throughout the morning, officers addressed various complaints and incidents, including a suspicious vehicle check on E Ohio St at 3:56 AM, a parking complaint on S Pickaway St at 7:59 AM, and a traffic stop with citation issuance on S Court St at 8:34 AM.

Later in the day, reports included a theft on US 23 S at 11:18 AM, a dirt bike/ATV complaint on S Scioto St at 1:37 PM, and a theft on Hayward St at 1:59 PM. Officers also conducted standby duties, responding to requests at Springhollow Rd and E Franklin St, while addressing additional incidents such as a burglary report on Watt St at 5:55 PM and a non-injury accident on Lancaster Pk at 6:50 PM.

By evening, officers responded to a 911 hang-up call on S Scioto St at 8:05 PM, property damage on E Ohio St at 10:27 PM, and concluded with a well-being check on Lancaster Pk at 10:29 PM.

In total, Circleville police handled 29 incidents throughout the day, underscoring their commitment to public safety and community service.
