Ashville, OH – The Harrison Township Division of Fire has received a generous donation from The DeLong Company, a Lockbourne-based agricultural firm, to enhance the community’s emergency response capabilities. The DeLong Company recently contributed funds to the Harrison Township Firefighter’s Association, enabling the purchase of critical new equipment, including a water rescue boat and a large area search and rescue system.
“We are incredibly grateful for this donation,” said Harrison Township Fire Association President Jordan Hempker. “These new resources will allow our fire crews to operate more effectively and safely, ensuring we can respond to emergencies with the best possible tools at our disposal. We are fortunate to have such a supportive partner in the DeLong Company, and we deeply appreciate their continued commitment to our community.”
The new equipment will specifically assist the fire department in water rescue operations and large-scale search efforts, providing enhanced capabilities for the department’s ongoing efforts to protect residents.
Jesse Keith, a representative from The DeLong Company, joined Captain Jordan Hempker in officially unveiling the new rescue boat and equipment.
