Deputy Terminates Pursuit in Bainbridge After UTV Driver Fails to Stop

Bainbridge, OH – December 28, 2024 — A traffic stop attempt in Bainbridge ended with a brief pursuit on the afternoon of December 28, 2024, after a Polaris RZR UTV driver failed to comply with a deputy’s signal to pull over.

At approximately 1:28 PM, Deputy Stanley from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop the UTV in the Bainbridge area. However, the driver of the off-road vehicle ignored the deputy’s attempt and continued driving, prompting a brief pursuit.

For public safety reasons, the deputy made the decision to terminate the chase as the vehicle approached West Third Street in Bainbridge. No further details about the driver or the circumstances surrounding the incident have been released at this time.
