BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio — Former President Donald Trump has announced his plans to return to Butler County for a rally, following a dramatic assassination attempt earlier this month.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump revealed on Friday that he will be coming back to Butler County to honor Corey Comperatore, who was tragically killed in a shooting at his rally on July 13, and to acknowledge the two men who were injured in the attack. Trump did not provide specific details about the date or location of the upcoming rally, simply stating, “Stay tuned for details.”

The July 13 shooting, which occurred at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Butler Township, was perpetrated by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. The gunman opened fire from a roof, fatally wounding Comperatore and injuring David Dutch and James Copenhaver. A bullet from the attack also grazed Trump’s ear.

In addition to his upcoming rally in Butler County, Trump has announced another rally scheduled for July 31 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This event will mark his first return to Pennsylvania since the assassination attempt.
