Lancaster – An accident occurred around 2 pm on October 20 on SR 159 between the roads of . According to Ohio State Highway Patrol a utility trailer came unhitched from a vehicle traveling on 159, and struck a car killing the driver and seriously injuring the passenger. Judy Bynum (64) was pronounced dead at the scene, and her passenger was emergency flown to the hospital. No other people were injured in the crash and the crash remains under investigation.
Lancaster post of the Highway Patrol, Clearcreek Township, Hocking Township, and Amanda Fire and rescue were on scene. The road was closed and traffic rerouted for about a hour.
