Circleville, OH — Emma Strickler, a 16-year-old student at Amanda-Clearcreek High School, has officially entered the competition for Miss Pumpkin Show, showcasing her dedication to community service and leadership. Emma is the daughter of Kevin and Chasatie Strickler and is actively involved in various school and community activities.
As a student, Emma excels in multiple honors and Advanced Placement courses, alongside agricultural education. She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Students and the Student Athletic Leadership Team, and serves as the Reporter for the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter, where she manages newsletters and social media. In addition, she participates in several FFA contests, including Job Interview and Public Speaking, and is a captain on the Varsity Girls Soccer team.
Emma is also committed to her community, working at Hitching Post Ranch and Paige’s Produce, as well as showing market hogs through the Amanda Work and Win 4-H Club. She has been a 4-H member for eight years and currently serves as her club’s president.
In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and playing pickleball. She is passionate about community service, often helping younger 4-H members with their projects.
Reflecting on the Pumpkin Show, Emma describes it as a celebration of community spirit. Her fondest memory is competing in the Little Miss Pumpkin Show contest in first grade, which sparked her dream of one day becoming Miss Pumpkin Show. Her favorite food from the festival is the pumpkin roll, which she loves to bake with her family.
If chosen as Miss Pumpkin Show, Emma envisions promoting the event with enthusiasm and showcasing its unique offerings, including a proposal for a baby animal farm to enhance agricultural education.
Emma credits her parents and FFA advisors for their significant impact on her life, emphasizing the importance of hard work and resilience. One of her proudest achievements was leading her Agricultural Communications team to victory at the state FFA contest, which will allow them to compete at the National Convention.
As she steps into this competition, Emma Strickler embodies the spirit of the Pumpkin Show and the values of her community, ready to represent her school and peers with grace and dignity.
