Anyone who knew Eric knew the love and devotion he had for his children and grandchildren. He loved them with his whole heart, and his family meant everything to him. He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren and vowed to never let them down—a promise he held steadfastly. Eric’s grandchildren gave him a renewed sense of fatherhood, and he would do anything for them. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.

Eric also had an undying love for his brothers and seized every opportunity to be with them. They would laugh and joke, and Eric always expressed his love for them.

While attending Columbus public schools, Eric showcased his athletic abilities at South High School, playing basketball for the Bulldogs. He frequently shared stories of his childhood and the mischief he would get into. As an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he eagerly talked about “his team.” Eric had a charming personality and was never shy about expressing his affection for the ladies. His laughter, jokes, and smiles made him the life of any event. His infectious smile and demeanor will be deeply missed.

Eric had rededicated his life to Christ and is rejoicing in Heaven.
