Fairfield County Foundation Unveils First Round of 2024 Grant Recipients

Lancaster, Ohio – The Fairfield County Foundation has revealed the beneficiaries of its initial grant cycle for the year 2024. During their March Board meeting, the Foundation dispersed a total of $167,814 in grants to 10 local organizations, marking the beginning of another year of community support.

Amy Eyman, CEO of the Fairfield County Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to aid various local initiatives. “We are thrilled to commence another year of grants, assisting a diverse array of organizations dedicated to fostering positive change in the Fairfield County community,” she stated. “Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all our donors, whose generosity enables us to advance a broad spectrum of vital causes with each grant cycle.”

The Cycle 1 grant recipients and their respective projects are as follows:

  • Carroll Area Historical Society: Projector Purchase for Public Programs (Janet S. Crist Fund)
  • Hardbarger Impact Ministries: Bed Brigade Table Saw (Jerry & Janet Nauman Fund)
  • Concrete Orkidz Foundation: Youth Summer Camp, Fairfield County Snack/Trip Costs (Richard L. Roundhouse Fund)
  • Geneva Hills Group: Geneva Lodge Kitchen Update (Geneva Hills Group Fund)
  • American Red Cross of South Central Ohio: Building Disaster Resiliency in Fairfield County (Robert A. Schatz Fund)
  • Wagnalls Memorial Foundation: Wagnalls Memorial Podcast Studio (Wagnalls Memorial Fund)
  • Lancaster Festival: Arts Education and Creative Opportunities for Youth (Terry A. McGhee/Sally J. Grimm Community Fund)
  • Ohio Glass Museum: Rotunda Showcases (Terry A. McGhee/Sally J. Grimm Community Fund)
  • Decorative Arts Center of Ohio: MOD: Visual, Social, Cultural Renaissance of the 1960s (Wendel Family Fund)
  • Lancaster Festival: Lancaster Festival Orchestra performances during the Festival’s 40th season (Wendel Family Fund)

Looking ahead, the Fairfield County Foundation has outlined the deadlines for the remaining grant cycles in 2024:

CYCLE 2:

  • Preliminary Grants Due: Second Monday in May – May 13, 2024
  • Grant Application Due: Second Monday in June – June 10, 2024
  • Grant Committee Recommendations to Board of Trustees: July 18, 2024

CYCLE 3:

  • Preliminary Grants Due: Second Monday in September – September 9, 2024
  • Grant Application Due: Second Monday in October – October 14, 2024
  • Grant Committee Recommendations to Board of Trustees: November 21, 2024
