Fairfield County, OH — On March 3, 2025, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Homeland Security Investigations Task Force from Columbus, Ohio, executed search warrants at “Elegant Massage” located at 3735 Old Columbus Rd NW, Carroll, OH, and the private residence of the business owner. The searches were part of an ongoing investigation into human trafficking.

The operation followed an extensive investigation into suspected illegal activities at the massage parlor, including human trafficking, labor exploitation, and other criminal offenses. Law enforcement officials conducted surveillance and gathered intelligence, ultimately leading to the execution of the warrants at both the business and the owner’s residence.

During the searches, deputies recovered evidence linking the business to illicit operations, such as financial records, electronic devices, and other materials suggesting human trafficking activities. Additionally, law enforcement located individuals inside the business who are believed to be victims of trafficking. These individuals have been provided with access to victim services to ensure their safety and well-being.

Sheriff Alex Lape expressed the department’s unwavering commitment to addressing human trafficking and holding offenders accountable. “Human trafficking is a heinous crime that exploits vulnerable individuals for profit. Our office, along with our law enforcement partners, is dedicated to dismantling these illegal operations and ensuring justice for victims,” Sheriff Lape stated.

As of this release, no arrests have been made, and charges are pending based on the outcome of the investigation.
