Violet Township, OH — The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged voyeurism incident involving an employee at Toll Gate Elementary School. Sheriff Alex Lape reported that the situation came to light after a staff member discovered a hidden cell phone in a staff bathroom.

Patrol deputies and detectives promptly responded to the scene. Their investigation revealed that 63-year-old Edward Dorst, a custodian from Baltimore, allegedly placed the cell phone in the bathroom with the intent to secretly record other employees without their consent. Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that no students were involved or recorded in this incident.

Dorst has been arrested and charged with several counts of voyeurism under Ohio Revised Code Section 2907.08. He is currently being held at the Fairfield County Jail as the investigation continues.
