Firework Events Around the Area: Celebrate the 4th of July with Spectacular Displays!

Lancaster/Fairfield County

  • 4th of July Parade: On July 4th, at 10 a.m., downtown Lancaster will come alive with a parade featuring local heroes, organizations, and more! After the parade, head to the Fairfield County Fairgrounds for a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Logan

  • Fireworks: Thursday, July 4th at 10 p.m.

Nelsonville

  • Fireworks: Thursday, July 4th at 10 p.m.

Athens

  • Fireworks: Wednesday, July 3rd at 10 p.m.

Buckeye Lake

  • Fireworks: Wednesday, July 3rd at 9:45 p.m.

Junction City

  • Fireworks: Sunday, July 7th at 10 p.m.

New Lexington

  • Fireworks: Thursday, July 4th at 10 p.m.

Somerset

  • Fireworks: Saturday, July 6th at 9:45 p.m.

Fayette County

  • Fire in the Sky: July 3rd at the Fayette County Fairgrounds, featuring food vendors and fun activities.

Chillicothe

Pool Party

The annual pool party will be held on Thursday, July 4th, from 7:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M. at the Donald M. Smith Memorial Pool in Yoctangee Park. Individuals may purchase tickets through the City of Chillicothe Parks and Recreation Department on the first floor of the City Administrative Building located at 35 South Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH. Tickets are $15 per person, children ages 2 and under enter for free. Swimming, food, and refreshments are included with entry. Trolley Rides

The Chillicothe Trolley will be operating its “Downtown Route” on Thursday, July 4th, from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Additional information can be found by visiting the Chillicothe Transit System’s website or by calling 740.773.1569.

Fireworks

The City of Chillicothe’s Fireworks will begin approximately at 9:45 P.M. on Thursday, July 4th. Spectators should be positioned and prepared by 9:30 P.M. Parking will be limited, and traffic flow around downtown will be modified. Motorists should account for additional time while traveling to their preferred viewing destination. For additional information, call the Safety Department.

Hocking County

  • Thunder In The Valley: This annual fireworks spectacular will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the Hocking College Campus. Fireworks start at dusk.
    • Parking: Available at Hocking College. No parking on Hocking Parkway or State Route 691.
    • VIP Tickets: VIP Vehicle Parking Pass for $10 and VIP Walk-In Pass for $3 per person. Limited availability. VIP area opens at 5 p.m.
    • Purchase VIP Tickets: At the Nelsonville Fire Department. Contact [email protected] or call (740) 753-1244 for more information.

Pickaway County – Ashville 4th of July festival will start on June 29th and run to the 4th with Fireworks. Heres the list of events for July 4th but check out the events that run throughout the entire week, all events held at Ashville Park.

Thursday, July 4th

  • 11:00 AM: Midway & Fish Stand Opens
  • 11:00 AM: 4th of July Grand Parade
  • 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Ride Bands for $24 (or $20 online before June 28 at www.KisselAmusement.com)
  • Noon – 2:00 PM: Visiting Queens Luncheon
  • 2:00 PM: Interstate All Stars (Americana/Blues)
  • 5:00 PM: Kickin’ Brass (Horn-Driven Classic Rock)
  • 8:00 PM: Tracy Roese and the Third Fret Band (Rock)
  • 10:00 PM: Fireworks can be viewed from the Park
