Chillicothe, OH – Street Cat Zine Fest, a vibrant celebration of art, crafts, and zines, returns to Chillicothe for its third annual installment on Saturday, July 20th. Hosted by Cheering and Waving Press, the event will take place at the Scioto Township Hall building, located at 164 S. Watt Street, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Stephanie Renner, the festival organizer, expressed pride in bringing Street Cat Zine Fest back to the community, promising a day filled with creativity and local talent. Over 20 exhibitors from Chillicothe, Southern Ohio, and across the Appalachian region, as well as from cities like Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, will showcase a diverse array of prints, zines, comics, stickers, crafts, and other homemade goods.

In addition to the artistic offerings, attendees can enjoy live music performances and poetry readings, highlighting the cultural richness of Southern Ohio. Tarot card readings will also be available, adding an element of mystique to the festivities.

A notable feature of this year’s festival is the participation of the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library Bee Mobile Library, underscoring the event’s commitment to community engagement and accessibility.

Street Cat Zine Fest 8 is free and open to the public, inviting all to explore and support local artisans and creators. Whether discovering unique handmade items or connecting with indie authors, the festival aims to “pollinate the community with good things,” as described by organizers.
