Johnstown, Ohio (February 16, 2024) – A tragic accident on Thursday afternoon claimed the life of a 41-year-old woman from Galloway. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) reported that Haley Beaudry was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on U.S. Route 62 near Bennington Township when she collided with an eastbound Mack semi-truck.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene shortly before 3:00 p.m. after receiving reports of the crash. According to OSHP, Ms. Beaudry’s Corolla crossed the center line and struck the left side of the semi. Both vehicles spun off the road and came to rest on the north side.
Tragically, Ms. Beaudry was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi truck was unharmed.
Preliminary investigation indicates that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Factors such as alcohol and drug impairment are currently unknown and remain under investigation by OSHP.
