Governor DeWine Issues Reprieves Ohio Executions

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Friday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued the following four reprieves of execution:

Warren K. Henness, who was scheduled to be executed on January 12, 2022. The new date of execution has been moved to December 17, 2024.

Stanley T. Adams, who was scheduled to be executed on February 16, 2022. The new date of execution has been moved to February 19, 2025.

John E. Drummond, who was scheduled to be executed on April 21, 2022. The new date of execution has been moved to April 16, 2025.

James G. Hanna, who was scheduled to be executed on May 18, 2022. The new date of execution has been moved to May 14, 2025.

Governor DeWine is issuing these reprieves due to ongoing problems involving the willingness of pharmaceutical suppliers to provide drugs to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), pursuant to DRC protocol, without endangering other Ohioans.
