OHIO – Governor Dewine signed a bill this week that will legalize sports betting in Ohio
House Bill 29 sports gaming bill is the result of the work of the Conference Committee of Representatives Jay Edwards, Bill Seitz, Adam Miller, and Senators Kirk Schuring, Nathan Manning, and Cecil Thomas. This bill will permit sports wagering in Ohio, under the regulatory authority of the Ohio Casino Control Commission and the Ohio Lottery.
The bill was passed both by the House and the Senate with overwhelming support.
Dewine said that he is not a fan of the bill or sports betting but that they have to keep up with other states.
