Hocking County – Large Cabin Party Ends in Arrest after Fight and Gun Threats

Hocking – A half of a dozen people were arrested after a fight broke out in a cabin in Hocking Hills.

According to the Hocking Sheriff’s Department on December 30, 2023, Hocking County was called to the 37000 block of Scout Road on the report of a large fight with firearms. When police arrived several people had fled the location, with reports of guns being drawn and waving them at each other. Law enforcement detained around a hundred people ranging from ages 16 to 28. Backup was called in from Logan Police, OSP, ODNR, and Ohio Investigative Unit.

Several suspects were detained and during a pat down of suspects several weapons were found on some people along with drug paraphilia. In total seven people were arrested including

Xavier Brown, carrying a concealed weapon, using weapons while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and persistent disorderly conduct.

Darin Wills, contributing to the delinquency and unruliness of juveniles and persistent disorderly conduct

Logan Watson Using weapons while intoxicated

Saen Lynch Using weapons while intoxicated

Chance Roese Using weapons while intoxicated

Hunter Cook Persistent disorderly conduct

A search of the cabin was conducted after a search warrant was granted a large number of narcotics, narcotic equipment, additional firearms, cash, and scales were seized from the residence. The rental cabin was left in disarray and several thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to the cabin itself. Law enforcement reported that none of the suspects or partygoers were from the area but were tourists who, “decided to visit beautiful Hocking Kills to commit their turbulent criminal behavior.”
