Deputies were dispatched to GoMart in Rockbridge regarding a person slumped over the steering wheel in their car. The occupant had been there approx. 4 hours and was disoriented. A friend was called to pick her up and she was referred to Project HOPE.***

Deputies responded to a SR 64 South address regarding a theft. Case was referred to the detective bureau. ***

Deputies were dispatched to a residence near Rockbridge on a possible overdose. The victim was transported to HVCH by Hocking County EMS. ***

Individuals came into the Sheriff’s Office to report a violation of a protection order. After determining a violation had occurred, detectives filed charges against the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued. ***

An individual came into the Sheriff’s Office to report a theft of a firearm from his cabin on Trowbidge Road. Investigation was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for follow-up. ***

An individual came into the Sheriff’s Office to report harassment to her by an acquaintance. Deputies contacted the individual who agreed not to have further contact with the complainant . ***

Deputies responded to a complaint of a vicious dog on Evans Road. The owner of the dog was contacted and warned his dog must stay on his property. ***

Deputies were dispatched to Goose Creek Road regarding a single vehicle non-injury accident. The driver was cited for Failure to Control. ***

Deputies stopped a vehicle on East Front Street near Orchard which displayed fictious plates. The owner of the vehicle was a passenger in the vehicle which was operated by Jeremy Withem of Logan. Neither Withem or the owner of the vehicle has no operator’s license. Withem as cited for driving with a suspended license. ***

Deputies were dispatched to a Haydenville address regarding a B&E complaint. An individual, identified as Jeffrey Jones was found inside of a garage gathering items to steal. When confronted a witness, he fled but was later apprehended. Jones, 40 of New Plymouth was charged with Breaking & Entering and transported to SEORJ. ***

Deputies stopped a vehicle near Haydenville which displayed expired license plates on a tow behind camper. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Shaleena Shields, 35 from Lancaster, who had a warrant for her arrest from Muskingum County for aggravated possession of drugs. Shields was transported to SEORJ to hold for Muskingum County authorities. ***

Deputies responded to a Rockbridge Road address regarding a protection order violation. Prior to their arrival, the individual had left the residence when the complainant was calling 911. Charges were filed against the individual for Violating a Protection Order and a warrant issued. ***

Deputies were dispatched to a SR 278, Carbon Hill address for a welfare check on an individual. When deputies spoke with the individual, it was determined she needed medical attention and was transported to O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. ***

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle and occupants at Go-Mart in Rockbridge. The caller stated the male driver of the vehicle was hitting his head on the steering wheel and another male and female appeared to be sleeping in the back seat. When deputies arrived, they observed a male walking outside of the vehicle acting erratically. He stated he was coming off Fentanyl. EMS was requested and he was transported to HVCH. The two passengers were able to get a ride back to West Virginia. ***

An individual came to the Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of a Trail Camera. ***

Deputies responded to Buena Vista Road stating two individuals were in a garage using drugs and possibly in possession of a handgun. Upon arrival of deputies, the individuals inside of the garage closed the garage door and refused to come out. The Logan-Hocking County Special Response Team (SRT) was requested to respond. Prior to the arrival of SRT units, the individuals opened the garage door. They were identified as Russel Courtney, 31 of Laurelville and Crystal Amerine, 37 of Laurelville. Courtney was charges with Weapons under Intoxicated and Obstructing Official Business. Amerine was charged with Criminal Trespass. Both were transported to SEORJ. ***

Deputies were informed of a dog bite that had occurred on Pleasant Ridge Laurelville. A man and his wife stated they had been bitten by a neighbor’s dog while trying to break up a dog fight. Both were treated in the Emergency Room at Adena Hospital in Chillicothe. The HCSO deputy assigned a dog warden is following up on the incident. ***

Early morning hours, deputies responded to a Haydenville Road residence regarding a missing person. Later in the evening, the missing person had returned home. He was transported to HVCH for evaluation. ***

An individual came into the Sheriff’s Office to report an unauthorized charge to his debit card for cab rides by Uber. The incident occurred in Westerville and/of the City of Columbus. Both agencies referred him to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report to be forwarded to the Columbus Police Department. ***

Deputies responded to the Calico Ridge Church regarding a breaking & entering and theft of a TV set. Evidence from the scene was collected and will be submitted to the lab for analysis. The investigation will be followed up by the detective bureau. ***
