“August 30, 2020
Dear Logan-Hocking School District Family,
As I indicated yesterday, we want you to be informed about COVID-19 cases without violating privacy rights of students and employees. This communication is to let you know that a non-teaching employee at the Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19 and is quarantining at home. We have notified our local health department, and we are following all health department recommendations. The health department is engaged in contact tracing. Please be assured our district is cleaning and sanitizing our buildings per Health Department guidelines.
As shared in my earlier communication, we expect to have staff and students who will self-quarantine at various times as required or as a precaution due to being in close contact or around a person who has tested positive. This will likely occur regularly as we work through the next several weeks and months.
We are considering options on how to continue updating you on COVID-19 status of employees and students.
Thank you again for your efforts in following our district guidelines, including mask and social distancing requirements. Your efforts will reduce the number of persons who are required to quarantine as cases arise and will help to keep our district open for educating students.
Sincerely,
Monte Bainter,
Superintendent”
