March 13, 2022
Deputies responded to East Fork Road to a report of telecommunications harassment. It was reported that the victim’s ex-boyfriend was calling her and making threats. Evidence was collected and statements were obtained. The incident is under investigation.

Deputies responded to Tinker Street to a report of harassment. It was reported that a male neighbor threatened the female caller. Deputies spoke to both parties involved and watched cell phone videos of the incident. Both parties were warned for disorderly conduct.

Deputies responded to Hayden Place Apartments on a report of a well-being check. It was reported two juveniles were at the residence. Deputies discovered the juveniles went to another residence on Purdum Road with their guardian. Deputies located the children at that residence. Both children were fine and were being taken care of. The incident was forwarded to Hocking County Children Services.

Deputies assigned to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital responded to the Emergency Department to a report of a subject in a possible mental health crisis. The victim made allegations of abuse in her home. The female was admitted into the hospital for medical treatment. The incident is under investigation.

Deputies responded to Trimmer Street to a subject making suicidal threats. It was reported the male subject at the residence was in a mental health crisis. Deputies discovered the male had assaulted a family member, causing injuries. The male subject was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment. After medical treatment, the male subject was arrested for felony domestic violence and transported to the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Deputies responded to Harble Griffith Road to a well-being check. It was reported that the male subject who resides at the residence texted his wife that he wanted to harm himself. Deputies checked the residence but the subject was not there. Deputies checked several other residences to locate the male but were unable to. The incident is under investigation.

Deputies responded to Goose Creek Road to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that a verbal dispute between a male and female subjects. During the argument, the female subject damaged a door and window. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Rock Aly to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that a verbal argument occurred between a father and his daughter. The argument stemmed from damage to a door that the daughter did. During the argument, the daughter threatened her father. Charges were filed with the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office.

Deputies responded to Shriner Street to a report of a runaway juvenile. It was reported that an 11-year-old boy had walked away from his residence. Deputies were able to locate the boy at a neighbor’s residence. He was returned to his mother.

Deputies responded to a Helber Road to assist Hocking County Emergency Services (HCEMS) on an unresponsive male. It was reported a male subject had overdosed on a narcotic. When Deputies arrived it was determined by HCEMS the male had deceased. Investigators from the Hocking County Coroner’s Office arrived on the scene. Evidence was collected and statements were obtained. The decedent was released to Cardaras Funeral Home.

Deputies performed a traffic stop on State Route 374 for fictitious plates. It was discovered the driver and the passenger had active warrants for their arrest. K-9 Dax was deployed to do a free-air sniff of the vehicle. K-9 Dax indicated to the presence of narcotics. The vehicle was searched and suspected narcotics were located. The narcotics will be sent off to the State of Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for testing. Both subjects were arrested for their warrants and turned over to the respective agencies. The vehicle was impounded. The case will be forwarded to the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Deputies responded to State Route 595 to a report of littering. It was reported that someone put trash in the victim’s yard. Evidence was collected and the incident remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to Walnut Dowler Road to a report of menacing. It was reported that the victim’s brother starting arguing with her over moving his vehicle. The male subject left prior to the Deputies arrival. The victim requested a report so she can obtain a protection order.

Deputies responded to Old McArthur Road to a report of a 911 hang-up call. It was reported a verbal dispute occurred between family members. Deputies spoke to the parties involved and they were separated for the evening.

Deputies responded to Frog Hollow to a report of a structure fire. It was reported that a fire grass fire occurred and it spread to a house. A male neighbor started to put the fire out with his garden hose. The male subject began having medical issues. Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and began Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on the male subject until Medics arrived from Hocking County Emergency Services. The fire was put out and the male subject was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital.

Deputies responded to Summit Drive to a report of disorderly conduct. It was reported that an argument occurred between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Deputies spoke to both parties involved. It was decided the parties would separate for the evening and they were warned for disorderly conduct.

Deputies responded to Lake Logan Road to a report of suspicious activity. It was reported that the caller believes that her neighbor was possibly stealing her electric. Information was obtained and statements were collected. The caller was advised a report would be on file.

Deputies responded to Engle Road to a report of theft. It was reported that a firearm was stolen out of the victim’s vehicle. Information was obtained and the firearm was entered as stolen in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

Deputies responded to Jobs-New Pittsburg Road at State Route 78 to a report of criminal mischief. It was reported that multiple trees were cut down which also caused damage to power lines. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Woltz Road at Miller Road to a report of a suicidal female. It was reported the female took a large number of prescription narcotics. Deputies located the female in her vehicle. She was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for medical and mental health treatment.

Deputies responded to Maysville Greendale Road to a report of theft. It was reported a home-made trailer was stolen. Information was obtained on the trailer. The incident is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to Trimmer Street to a report of an unruly juvenile. It was reported that a female juvenile came to the caller’s residence and wanted to start a fight with his daughter. Messages were sent to his daughter on snap chat wanting to fight. The juvenile left his residence and the caller requested a report be on file.

Deputies assigned to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital responded to the Emergency Department to a report of a male subject in a mental health crisis. The subject received mental health treatment and was later released to his mother.

Deputies reported to Grin Hollow Road to a report of a possible death. It was reported that Hocking County Emergency Services were already on scene performing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation on the male subject. When Deputies arrived on scene the male subject had been pronounced deceased by the Hocking County Coroner. It was determined the death was natural and the decedent was released to a funeral home.

Deputies responded to Long Run Road to a report of violation of a protection order. It was reported that a male subject had possibly violated a protection order. Statements were obtained and it was determined that the order was not violated.

Deputies responded to Shriner Street to a report of a subject in a mental health crisis. It was reported that a male juvenile was threatening suicide. Deputies spoke to the juvenile and later transported him to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment.

Deputies responded to Maple Street to a report of an unruly juvenile. It was reported that the juvenile was in possession of marijuana. The juvenile’s parents had caught him with the narcotics. The marijuana was seized as evidence and charges have been sent over to the Hocking County Prosecutors Office.

Deputies responded to Sams Creek Road to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that a male subject was assaulted. Hocking County Emergency Services arrived on the scene to treat the male subject’s injuries. Deputies spoke to all parties involved and charges were sent to the Hocking County Prosecutors Office for review.

Deputies responded to US33 to a report of a vehicle crash involving a deer. It was reported that a vehicle struck a deer while traveling on US33. Damage was caused to the front of the vehicle. A report was taken for the incident.

Deputies responded to Antioch Road to a report of an assault. It was reported that a neighbor assaulted another. Deputies spoke to the victim who had visible injuries. They stated a female entered their garage and turned their power off. When she was confronted, she assaulted the homeowner. Deputies located the female suspect at her mother’s residence. While trying to speak to the suspect she struck one of the Deputies in the face, knocking his glasses off. She was quickly subdued. She was arrested and transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for mental health treatment.

Deputies responded to Pike Street to a report of disorderly conduct. It was reported that some juveniles were pointing and shooting guns at people. Deputies spoke to the caller and then made contact with the subjects involved along with their parents. It was discovered that the guns were air soft guns and the boys were shooting at each other. Deputies advised the juveniles not to be playing with each other in that manner.

May 18, 2022
Deputies responded to Clapper Hollow Road to a report of breaking and entering. It was reported that someone was inside a residence, taking items out. When Deputies arrived they placed one male subject in custody they located inside a garage. After the investigation, the male suspect was transported to the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.

March 19, 2022
Deputies responded to Walnut Dowler Road to a report of disorderly conduct. It was reported that a male subject was walking on the roadway talking to himself. Deputies discovered that the male subject had ingested prescription narcotics. He was checked by Medics from the Hocking County Emergency Services. After he was medically cleared, the male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.

March 19, 2022
Deputies responded to Keifel Road to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that an assault took place between two family members. The suspect left the scene prior to the Deputies’ arrival. Statements were obtained and evidence was collected. The incident has been sent to the Hocking County Prosecutors Office for review for charges.

Deputies responded to Starr Route Road to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. It was reported that a male subject took the victim’s vehicle while he was asleep. The suspect was located at State Route 664 @ Old McArthur Road. He was arrested and transported to the South Eastern Ohio Jail.
