Deputies responded to a Huston Rd. residence for a violation of a protection order complaint. After investigation, the case file was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.—–

Deputies responded to a Bauer Rd. residence for a burglary complaint. Deputies processed the scene and collected evidence to be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to Homer St. where a person reported to deputies that while they were walking on Homer St. property was stolen from their pocket. The victim identified a suspect, but told deputies that they didn’t see the person steal the property.—–

Deputies responded to Maysville-Greendale Rd. residence for a suicidal person. Deputies transported to HVCH for evaluation.—–
May 8, 2020
Deputies were notified of a theft from a business on Lake Logan Rd. After investigating and identifying a suspect, deputies located the suspect on Linton Rd. The suspect, Brandon E. Cook, 24, Logan was found in possession of the stolen property, a loaded firearm and suspected narcotics. Cook, a convicted felon, had an active warrant from the Adult Parole Authority. Cook was arrested for the warrant and transported to the SEORJ. The additional charges were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office. The suspected narcotics will be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis and possible future indictment.—–

Deputies responded to the Sunoco station on Clear Creek Rd. for a theft complaint. The victim told deputies that they left their wallet on the counter and when they returned a few minutes later it had been stolen. Surveillance video revealed a suspect. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a menacing complaint at a Hayden Place apartment. After an investigation, deputies learned that the threats had been by both the complainant and the suspect. The complainant when confronted with this information, declined to file charges. Both parties were told to stay away from each other.—–

Deputies responded to a SR 93 residence where the resident had found a toy gun wrapped in black tape in the weeds by the road. Deputies collected the toy gun.—–

Deputies responded to a SR 328 residence for a domestic violence complaint. After investigation, deputies submitted criminal charges to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.—–

Detectives following up on a theft case from Fairfield County identified a possible suspect and vehicle involved and provided the information to Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office detectives.—–

Deputies responded to an Old McArthur Rd. residence for an attempted suicide. HCEMS was requested and transported to HVCH for evaluation and treatment.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic argument at a Voris Rd. residence. No violence occurred and no charges were filed. The parties separated for the time being.
