May 8, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at an Enterprise Illes Rd. residence. After investigation, deputies arrested Michael A. Sexton, 32, Logan and charged him with Domestic Violence and Assault. Sexton was transported to the SEORJ.—–
May 9, 2020
Some tourist visiting on Collison Rd. found a cell phone in the woods while hiking. Deputies took the cell phone and logged it into the property room.—–
May 10, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Barker Lane residence. After investigation, deputies arrested Samantha Jo Gardner, 32, Logan and charged her with Domestic Violence and Assault. Gardner was transported to the SEORJ.—–
May 10, 2020
Deputies responded to a Woltz Rd. residence where the owner found that someone had erected a tent on their property. The tent contained personal property as if someone had been living in the tent. Deputies left a business card and note telling the owner they needed to remove the tent and property.—–

Deputies received a complaint from a Hide-Away-Hills resident that had paid for work, but had not received the goods and services agreed to. The case was forwarded to the detective bureau.—–

Deputies responded to Family Dollar in Laurelville for a shoplifter. The person was issued a criminal trespass order.—–
May 11, 2020
The Dog Warden investigated a dog bite that had occurred on May 9th. The dog owner separated two of their dogs while fighting and was bitten. The dogs did not have valid license and the owner was given 7 days to purchase the license or be cited.—–

Deputies took a report of the theft of Marion Township road signs that were stolen.—–
May 13, 2020
Deputies took an assault report that occurred at a SR 328 residence. After an investigation, deputies forwarded charges and a request for a warrant to the Prosecutor’s Office. The victim was provided victim’s services by the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office Victim’s Assistance to obtain a restraining order.—–

A Rockbridge business reported to deputies an incident of theft and forgery. The case was forwarded to the detective bureau.—–
May 13, 2020
Deputies responded to a Greasy Ridge Rd. residence for a theft complaint. The victim told deputies that while they were gone medication was stolen. The case was referred to the detective bureau for follow up.—–
May 13, 2020
Deputies responded to a Bunker Hill Rd. residence after an adult male had followed two juveniles whom the complainant reported were driving at a high rate of speed and being reckless. When confronted at a residence, one juvenile brandished a pellet gun that looked real. The deputies also spoke to other residents who confirmed the reckless driving. The juvenile’s parents were spoken to about the matter who will handle the situation.—–

Deputies received a complaint of patient abuse and/or neglect from a Clay Bank Rd. resident. The case is currently under investigation.—–
May 14, 2020
Deputies took a theft report from the Washington Township trustees. The complainants reported that 18 steel grading blades were stolen. The case is currently under investigation.—–
May 14, 2020
Deputies responded to a Main St. Rockbridge residence for a burglary complaint. The victim told deputies that while they were gone, someone pried the hasp off of the front door to gain entry and remove several items. The case remains under investigation.
