Deputies investigated a single vehicle crash on SR 93. The driver, hydroplaned on some standing water on a curve, lost control and slid into a ditch on the opposite side of the roadway.—–

Deputies responded to a SR 180 residence for a domestic argument. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–

Deputies responded to a Rockbridge business for a criminal trespass complaint after an alarm sounded. Deputies are reviewing surveillance video.—–

Deputies responded to a Haydenville Rd. residence for a domestic argument. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–

Deputies responded to a Moore Rd. residence for a menacing complaint. The case was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

A Haydenville Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a violation of a protection order. After investigation, deputies forwarded the case file to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.—–
December 13, 2019
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Chieftain Dr. for a traffic offense. After explaining the reason for the stop, deputies learned that the passenger, Joseph H. Rogers, 38, Logan had a valid arrest warrant from Athens County. Deputies received permission to search the vehicle and located a syringe with approximately 20cc of suspected heroin and suspected methamphetamine in the trunk, along with several items of paraphernalia. Rogers was transported to the SEORJ. The suspected narcotics will be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis and possible future indictment.—–

Deputies responded to a Sam’s Creek Rd. residence after a female had arrived in a state of medical emergency due to exposure to the weather and drug usage. HCEMS transported to HVCH assisted by deputies.—–

A Lime Bank Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a burglary that had occurred on December 11th.—–

Deputies responded to HVCH Emergency Department for a domestic violence complaint. After investigation, deputies requested a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.—–

Deputies while on patrol observed a dog at large on Sutton Rd. and SR 93. The case was referred to the dog warden as they owner had previously been issued a warning for dog at large.—–

Deputies responded to a Hack St. Murray City residence for a domestic violence complaint. The occupants denied any problems at the residence. No signs of violence were found. Deputies did arrest Matt Ray for a warrant from Athens Police. Ray was transported to the SEORJ.—–

Deputies responded to a criminal trespass complaint on Dupler Rd. The property owner told deputies that two vehicles were mud running on their property without permission. Deputies located the vehicles at a Rockbridge business, identified them and sent a request for criminal trespass charges to the Prosecutor.—–

Deputies responded to a Harvey Chapel Rd. residence for a civil standby. While at the residence, one party alleged to be an ongoing victim of domestic violence that had been occurring in the past few months. The case file was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
