Lancaster, OH (02/25/2025) – A house fire in the 1200 block of Quarry Rd. is under investigation after emergency crews responded early Sunday morning to a blaze at 1270 Quarry Rd.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Berne Township and Lancaster Fire Departments, received reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found the residence fully engulfed in flames. Crews acted quickly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes.
All potential occupants of the residence have been accounted for, though tragically, two pets were found inside and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with the Lancaster Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall working together to determine its origin. Authorities are actively working to gather more details and ensure a thorough investigation.
