Illegal Immigrant in Ohio Indicted for Sexual Assault Charges Involving Juveniles

Today, Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced that Isauro Garcia-Cruz, a 44-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, has been indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury on multiple sexual assault charges involving minors. The indictment follows a thorough investigation by Butler County detectives, culminating in Garcia-Cruz facing serious charges related to his alleged crimes.

According to the indictment handed down today, Garcia-Cruz faces the following charges: two counts of Rape (first-degree felonies), eight counts of Sexual Battery (third-degree felonies), six counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor (third-degree felonies), one count of Gross Sexual Imposition (fourth-degree felony), and one count of Disseminating Matter Harmful To Juveniles (first-degree misdemeanor).

The charges stem from incidents involving two different juvenile victims. Garcia-Cruz was apprehended on March 4, 2024, in Bedford County, Virginia, with one of the victims. The apprehension was a result of collaborative efforts between Butler County detectives and officers from Bedford County. Following his arrest, Garcia-Cruz was extradited back to Butler County to face the charges against him.

Currently, Isauro Garcia-Cruz is being held in the Butler County Jail awaiting his court appearance.
