passed 5:22 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home.
James was born January 22, 1941 in Greenup, Kentucky, the son of the late Raymond Earl Warnock and Hattie Lorrayne (Barnhart) Warnock Crawford. On September 23, 1963, he was united in marriage to Janet (Sullivan) Warnock, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James Robert (Stefanie) Warnock II, three daughters, Melissa (Dennis) Glenn, Teresa (Carlton) McClellan and Tammy (Phillip) Farmer, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, sister, Cathy Kaminsky and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Elbert Dale Warnock.
James was an auto mechanic teacher at the Vern Riffe Vocational for 20 years, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War, a special deputy in Scioto and Pike County for 25+ years, a Marshall for Beaver, lifetime member of the NRA, D.A.V. Chapter 45 of Jackson and V.F.W. Post #9942 of Beaver.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Keith Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery, Wheelersburg, Ohio with military graveside services conducted by James Dickey Post #23 American Legion.
Family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
