CIRCLEVILLE – Before Jersey Mike opened in April manager Gavin Gleich said that the company believes in giving back to the community that supports them.
On opening day Jersey Mikes started collecting for a very good fund, Foundations4Youth. They offered the donation in two different ways, one of those ways was a card that police and Foundation4youth gave out that if you donated at least a dollar for the kids group, you get a free regular sub. The second way instead of a “tip jar” at the register asking for loose change after purchase the bin of change went to Foundations4Youth.
In a month Jersey Mikes was able to donate 1305.00 towards foundations and presented the check at one of the Tuesday nights events.
“Gleich took time and played with the kids and hung out, he even brought subs for dinner that night and fed them,” said Officer McIntyre School resource officer and events leader at Foundations4Youth. “Its very much appreciated and will be used for upgrades for the new location.
