Karen Jean Adams Knisley passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born December 24, 1956, to Donald E. Adams and Alma Jean Long Adams. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Paul D. Knisley, grandparents William Homer Long and Alma Morgan Long, Homer Adams and Highly Jane Adams, and infant nephew Michael Skinner.
She is survived by her brother Don (Bonnie) Adams, sisters Kathy Shaw (Steve) and Susan Patterson (Dane) and special sister-of-her-heart Pam Hawks Guiles (Randy). She is also survived by nieces Beth Maurer (Ryan), Amy Adams, Sarah Hanley, Rachel Hanley, Laney Patterson, and Chelsea Patterson, and nephew Ryan Skinner, as well as great-nieces Hayley Hamilton (Reece) and Brooke Phelps (Alex) and great-nephew Gabe Maurer and great-great nephew William Phelps, all of whom she adored.
Karen graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1975. She worked at the Ohio Dept. of Development, Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, Nationwide, and the Ohio School for the Deaf. She received the Certified Professional Secretary and The Certified Administrative Professional designations, of which she was very proud. She was also a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Box 65 Scene Support, and the Pickaway County Emergency Response Team.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11-1.
