Kingston OH- Franklin D. Hawkins, Jr., 63, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2020 at Ohio Health Berger Hospital, Circleville. He was born on August 27, 1957, in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of the late Franklin D. and Beverly (Smith) Hawkins Sr..
Franklin is survived by his beloved children, Greg Hawkins (Tamera Sisterman), Susan (Robert) Schroyer, and Sarah (Terrance) Scott; grandchildren, Benjamin, Skye, Joseph, Robert, Nancy, Serena, Perrin, River, and Bastion; great-grandchildren, Mojave and Maya; siblings, Rodney, Ricky, and Cynthia; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca (Clausen) Hawkins; sister, Brenda; and granddaughter, Geneva.
Franklin graduated from Geneseo High School, Geneseo, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Private First Class and served as a Laundry and Bath Specialist. Franklin was a man of faith and a proud member of the Rising Son Church, Hayesville Road, Kingston.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Caleb Copper and Rev. Shirley Justice officiating. Burial will follow in Rising Son Church Cemetery with military honors performed by the Pickaway County Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service at Hill’s with visitors maintaining social distancing and wearing face coverings.
