January 13, 2025 – The Lancaster Police Department is investigating the death of a female found inside a residence on Garfield Avenue on Monday morning. At approximately 8:27 a.m. on January 13, 2025, officers responded to a 911 call from a woman who reported that her friend was deceased inside a home in the 1,000 block of Garfield Avenue.
Upon arrival, patrol officers and the Lancaster Fire Department confirmed that the woman was deceased. The Lancaster Police Department’s Detective Bureau, the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) are currently involved in the investigation.
