Licking County OH- At 9:52AM today rescue crews and sheriffs deputies were dispatched to a construction site in the 9900 block of Honda Hills Rd SE in Bowling Green Township. A caller reported that a man had been trapped in a ditch that had collapsed and that other workers were attempting a rescue with a backhoe and shovels. Rescue personnel were able to partially uncover the victim, Drew Oswald age 39 of Baltic Ohio, and found that he was deceased.
The crew had been working on drainage for a new build when the incident occurred. The cause of the collapse is under investigation, OHSSA is on the scene and will assist in the investigation.
