PICKAWAY – The Pickaway County Republican Central Committee is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Circleville City Auditor. The Auditor reports to City Council and works with City officials, employees, and the public. Duties and responsibilities include the implementation and financial oversight of all internal audit functions for the City and all its departments and programs. The financial oversight includes all taxes; assessments; accounts of all receipts and disbursements of the City; and of all appropriations made by the legislative authority finalized in end-of-year reports by providing an independent appraisal of City operations.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field. Work experience of at least five years in managerial accounting or auditing with two years in municipal, township or county government preferred. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, and skill in IT management and the use of computer programs including Excel and Word. Knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code a plus.
