WILMINGTON, Ohio – A Logan man was killed in a two-vehicle crash late Thursday night on Interstate 71 in Clinton County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 11:10 p.m. on February 24, 2025, near Mile Post 52 in Liberty Township. Authorities say 50-year-old Jason Fisher, of Logan, was driving a 2012 Jaguar XJ southwest on I-71 when he collided with the rear of a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia. The commercial truck, driven by George Cunningham of Louisville, Kentucky, was stopped in traffic due to an earlier crash near Mile Post 48.
Emergency responders pronounced Fisher dead at the scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Port William Fire and EMS, and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office. The crash remains under investigation.
