Luchin T. “Tom” Travis, 91 formerly of Gary, IN passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Pickaway Manor in Circleville, OH. He was born on September 24, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Aritha (Cisco) Travis in McCrory, AR. He has worked as an auto mechanic for Bill’s Texaco Station, Red Top Trucking, Republic Steel and various independent jobs.
Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Mary (Gonzalez) Travis in 1993; infant son Robin; brothers Herschel, Lawrence Jr. and John; sisters Dorothy and Evonda.
Tom is survived by son Spencer (Valerie) Travis; grandsons Josh and Zane Travis; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25th at Blessed Hope Bible Church, Ashville. The family wishes casual attire. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a Celebration of Life held in Indiana at a later date.
PLEASE – No flowers, dad was very adamant about that, take a loved one to lunch or dinner, buy something you need, or plant flowers in your yard, he would prefer that.
