CANAL WINCHESTER, OH – On October 7, 2024, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bomb threat reported at T.S. Trim, located at 6380 Canal Street, Canal Winchester, around 6:45 a.m.
The Patrol Bureau, alongside the Madison Township Fire Department and Columbus Division of Fire, quickly arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough search of the facility. Fortunately, no explosive device was found during the investigation.
Following the incident, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau launched a criminal inquiry that resulted in the arrest of a Columbus resident. Steven Gavorcik, 57, has been charged with inducing panic and making terroristic threats. He has since been transported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
