CIRCLEVILLE – An accident happened around 6:15 pm last night at the corner of Court Street and Main Street in downtown Circleville. The pedestrian identified as Fred Wagner Jr. of Circleville was struck by a truck when attempting to cross the street.
According to police Wagner was attempting to cross North Court Street from Main St and was struck by a Black Ford F150 Truck turning from Main to North Court during a green light.
According to witnesses Wagner stuck his hand out, and his hand was struck the hardest by the truck. Then he was thrown to the ground by the impact, luckily the vehicle was able to emergency stop. Wagner was transported to Berger for his injuries to his hand and from the fall.
The driver of the truck stayed on site, reported the accident, and complied with all of the police requests. No other injuries were reported.
The police were still investigating the crash.
