Perry County – Man Wanted in ATV Theft at Dealership

Perry County – Two men are wanted after a smash-and-grab occurred at a dealership in Perry County, one of those men has been identified.

According to the sheriff’s department on1/19/2024, two people arrived at Rival Motor Sports in Thornville, Ohio, and blatantly smashed the front doors of the dealership. They then proceeded to steal an ATV that was located in the showroom of the dealership. The department asked for locals’ help in identifying the two suspects.

On 1/25/2024, the Perry County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify one of the male subjects involved in the Rival Motor Sports theft on January 19th and the West Jefferson, OH thefts.

The identity was made possible after surveillance photographs were submitted to the Northeast Ohio Regional Fusion Center and entered into facial recognition software.

The male has been identified as William Perez of Jamestown, OH and a felony warrant for his arrest has been obtained.
