FAIRFILED – A robbery was halted by a female gas station cashier this weekend at the 800 Waterloo Street BP location.
According to the Fairfield sheriff’s office, the suspect entered the BP gas station and asked the clerk for a pack of cigarettes behind the counter. When the clerk turned back to the register, the suspect demanded money from her.
The clerk who kept her wits about her, then asked the suspect if he had a gun on him, and when he told her “no”, she told him he was not getting any money.
The suspect bewildered by the defiance then left the store without getting anything and ran toward Good Will.
The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a black beanie cap, white cotton mask, black jacket, blue jeans, and brown work boots.
