Matthew Chilicki, age 35, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away at home on Monday, September 4, 2017 after a short and hard-fought battle with colon cancer. Born in Columbus to Thomas and Beth Chilicki, he was a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School and Ohio Dominican University. He was an active parishioner at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 11208 and the most loyal friend to so many. Many know he enjoyed all sports, movies and collecting coins, but he cherished simply spending time with his family and close friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years Natalie, four young children John, Christopher, Margaret and Beatrice, his parents, brother Thomas (Laurel) Chilicki, sister Katherine Chilicki, nephews Tommy, Luke, Brady and Evan, niece Josie, grandfather Richard Friend, many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws Christopher, Julia, Patrick, Rachel and Alex Heine.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Helen Chilicki and aunt Carol Chilicki and grandmother Barbara Friend. Family will receive friends 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Thursday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Friday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Father Bob Penhallurick Celebrant. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church School Tuition Fund to support Matt’s appreciation for Catholic education.
