In a mouth-watering collaboration, McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme, two iconic brands in the world of sweet treats, are teaming up to bring fresh doughnuts to McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. The announcement, made today, promises to delight doughnut enthusiasts as Krispy Kreme’s famous treats make their way onto McDonald’s menus across the country.
Starting later this year, customers can expect to find three of Krispy Kreme’s most beloved doughnuts available at their local McDonald’s. This phased market rollout will see Krispy Kreme doughnuts becoming available at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide by the end of 2026. The partnership follows a successful test run at 160 McDonald’s restaurants in the Lexington and Louisville areas of Kentucky, where consumer excitement exceeded expectations.
The three Krispy Kreme doughnuts that will grace McDonald’s menus are:
- The iconic Original Glazed® Doughnut: A classic doughnut coated in Krispy Kreme’s signature glaze.
- The Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut: A chocolatey twist on the original, topped with chocolate icing and rainbow sprinkles.
- The Chocolate Iced Kreme™ Filled Doughnut: A light, fluffy doughnut filled with smooth Kreme™ filling and dipped in chocolate icing.
These delicious doughnuts will be available individually or in boxes of six, starting at breakfast and continuing throughout the day, while supplies last.
McDonald’s USA’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, Tariq Hassan, expressed excitement about the partnership, calling it an “exciting next step” in providing new experiences for McDonald’s customers. Krispy Kreme President and CEO Josh Charlesworth echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the joy that Krispy Kreme doughnuts bring to fans and expressing anticipation for the nationwide rollout.
To celebrate the partnership, Krispy Kreme is offering a free Original Glazed® Doughnut to all guests who visit U.S. Krispy Kreme shops between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. today.
The collaboration between Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s aims to significantly increase access to Krispy Kreme doughnuts, with plans to more than double points of access by the end of 2026.
