Ross County Fairgrounds — Amy Jones and Katie Wolf, president and secretary of Ross County Fire & EMS Association, gave me a through explanation of what they have at the fairgrounds to help people with everything from a splinter to ambulance transport to the hospital.
They say all the staff there are a member of a township or local volunteer or paid fire department, so they know what they are doing. You might expect that dehydration and heatstroke are the most common ailments they have been seeing.
They say that if you have a medical emergency at the fair, you can call 9-1-1 and this crew will be directed to your location at the fairgrounds.
And, if you are interested in joining them, contact your local fire and EMS.
Hear them in their own words in the below interview video, including an introduction to their medical multi-tool and other emergency devices.
