Michael Allen Pitt, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 76. He was born in Circleville to Charles “Frick” and Lorna (Kneece) Pitt on September 24, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Steve and Randy Pitt. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Teresa M. (Tilley) Pitt; daughters Candy (Mike) Cooper and Brandie (Travis) English; grandchildren Harlee (Jonas) Proffitt, Wyatt Cooper and Skylar Schmitt. Michael served his country with honor as a tanker in the 11th Cavalry during the Vietnam War. His bravery and sacrifice earned him the Purple Heart and Bronze Star after his tank was struck by a bazooka in combat. We are grateful for his sacrifice and service. Following his military service, Michael dedicated 32 years of his life to working at Deercreek Auto Parts in Williamsport. He leaves behind many special friends, including Terry Tilley, Sam Colter, Doug Stonerock and Marlon Hurtt. Above all, Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His love for his family was unmatched, and he took great pride in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Cremation has been observed.
