INDIANAPOLIS – “A good person is a gift to the whole word,” said Morgan Anderson, an Amanda-Clearcreek graduate and the 2023-2024 National Eastern Region Vice President. After being an active member of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter for many years, Anderson decided she was ready to take the next step in her FFA journey and promote her belief of what it means to be a good person.
At the 96th National FFA Convention and Expo, Anderson was elected to serve as the National Eastern Region Vice President for the upcoming year. She went through a lengthy process of applications, interviews and interactions with new people to earn this title. Morgan was one of six National FFA Officers from the over 1 million FFA Members in the country.
During her year of service, Anderson traveled all over the United States and even to different parts of the world promoting the agricultural industry, FFA and the importance of serving others and our community. She attended numerous State Conventions and FFA Camps across the country, as well as visited countless FFA chapters to instill leadership qualities in FFA members through workshops.
Just recently, at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo, Anderson was responsible for leading the many sessions at the Convention. Along with conducting these sessions, Anderson delivered her retiring address in front of thousands of people in person, and millions on national television, where she spoke on what it means to be a good person and that a good person does not have to be perfect. She taught FFA members, alumni, supporters, guests, advisors, and many others that “A good person is a gift to the whole world.”
The new National FFA Officer team was elected at the 97th National Convention, so Anderson’s year of service is now coming to a close. Her journey through FFA has been an inspiration for so many people. Anyone can become involved and advocate for the agricultural industry in the same way Anderson did. All it takes is passion and a good person.
