PICKAWAY COUNTY, OH — Pickaway County residents will soon have a new company as BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. announces the opening of a new logistics and distribution facility in Commercial Point. The move is expected to create 250 full-time equivalent positions, adding over $13 million in annual payroll to the area.
The membership-based warehouse retailer, known for offering discounted prices on groceries, household items, electronics, and more, will also expand its presence in the U.S. with this new facility. The company, which has over 250 locations nationwide, will benefit from a 1.605 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit approved by the TCA. The tax credit, valued at approximately $1.94 million, is part of the incentive package designed to foster job growth and business expansion in the region.

Locally, BJ’s is working with the Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, to donate unsold produce, meat, dairy, and other products every week. BJ’s Charitable Foundation has also granted Dare to Care over $57,000 to support the South Louisville mobile pantry program.
