ROSS – Chillicothe is now getting its second location of goodwill stores.
Chillicothe already has one goodwill store in town located at East Second Street about a block past Crispie Creme. They are now expanding and planning a much bigger location located on Western Avenue by Muffler Brothers.
“We want to make donating to Goodwill, which has been serving the community for more than 40 years, as easy as possible,” said CEO Marvin Jones. “Donations will still be taken at each of our nine stores, including the one in Shawnee Square, but this attended donation center makes it more convenient, especially in times of inclement weather, and when you have heavier items such as furniture.”
Goodwill currently employs 270 people in Ross, some who have disabilities and give them job opportunities.
The new building will start construction soon, and will be completed in 2020.
