Lancaster, Ohio – Fairfield County is set to welcome a new residential care facility catering to senior living needs, marking a significant development in the area’s housing landscape. Lemmon Development, a seasoned property developer with over four decades of experience, has commenced construction on an 81-unit, 78,000-square-foot facility located along North Columbus Street in Lancaster.

The project, situated in the former Timbertop development area, aims to address the growing demand for senior living accommodations in the region. Upon completion, the facility will offer a range of services, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care support, catering to the diverse needs of older adults in the community.

Lemmon Development’s expertise in property development, coupled with its successful track record in similar projects across Ohio, instills confidence in the endeavor’s success. With notable senior living campuses already established in Hudson and Danbury, Ohio, the company brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Fairfield County project.

Rick Szabrak, Fairfield County’s Economic Development Director, emphasizes the importance of meeting the evolving housing needs of the community, especially for older adults requiring specialized care. “As growth continues in our county, the need for housing, particularly for older adults, continues to grow as well,” stated Szabrak. “This project will fulfill that need while also accommodating the people in our community with memory loss who require extended care.”

The strategically chosen location for the facility, adjacent to the VC Bend apartment community on Timbertop Street, further enhances its accessibility and integration within the local housing landscape.

With construction already underway, Fairfield County anticipates the completion of the senior living facility in the first half of 2025, marking a significant milestone in addressing the community’s housing needs and providing comprehensive care services to its residents.
