PITTSBURGH (AP): Big Ben Roethlisberger’s season is over after a disappointing 0-2 start that lead to an elbow injury during the first half of the loss to Seattle on Sunday.
He will undergo elbow surgery, ending his season.
NEW ORLEANS (AP): Drew Brees is out for a minimum of 6 weeks after finding out that he has torn a ligament in the thumb area of his throwing hand. Brees injured his hand during the first quarter of the teams loss against the Rams.
No announcement has been made on the date of the surgery though an anonymous source told the AP that Brees has decided to have it at some point.
