Circleville – Since the 1950’s a family cleaning service has sat on the North Side of Circleville, this year that is changing as owners retire and an interested buyer has stood up and offered to renovate the lot.
During the Circleville Planning and Zoning meeting recently Keth Bowman approached the board with interest in building a gas station on the lot. Plans would be to raze the dry cleaning building and the car wash but preserve the laundromat. In the discussion, Bowman did not reveal the name of the gas station but did add some details when asked why they wanted to build a gas station on the Porter location with a gas station located across the street and a convenience store located beside.
“We will offer hamburgers and foods from a grill, we will over a drive-thru, these are things that we feel that people want on the North side.”
The gas station is in its preliminary plans, the store is located in the General Business district but would be spread over several lots that the location is asking to combine into one. The city also asked to create a definite in-and-out section to the front of the property with some hedges and curbs.
We will update you with more info when this plan develops further.
